Vintage Restoration – March 2019

I will be heading to Birds of a Feather store with these 2 pieces. They both turned out cool! The table has a layered tin top, painted with white chalk paint, distressed and finished with poly. I also trimmed the sides and added large copper nail heads. The picture does not do it justice. The dresser is painted with white chalk paint and very distressed and finished with poly. I added crystal knobs and silver handles. I also stained and polyester the inside of the drawers. Adorable in a child’s room or could be used as linen storage in a dining room.

Vintage Restoration – January 2018

This accent chair and ottoman set is a beautiful neutral color with nickel nailhead detail. The before and after pictures tells most of the story. I discovered the chair at an estate sale this summer and the ottoman on a K-bids action a few weeks ago. I love it when I find separate pieces that can be paired as a set.

Isn’t this curio cabinet adorable! I found this cabinet at an estate sale this summer. Added character with tin ceiling tile, trim, and a vintage handle. Paint is peacock by Waverly Chalk Paint and used antique wax to bring out the detail of the tin and trim. The top was stained, then finished with polycrylic. You can find this and many of my other pieces at Birds of a Feather in Bovey, MN.
