Bringing Spring to your Easter Table

This week I’ve been thinking about Easter and how to make it special. It’s a time for renewal and hope. It is also a challenge this year. It will be the first for many of us spending Easter with only the people in our homes and not extended family and friends. It’s at these times especially that I feel that some extra preparation is appropriate.

I love decorating our dining room table with a touch of Spring. I usually start with a white table cloth and add a bright table runner or grab a piece of material, a dish cloth or even a placemat. Something to bring a colorful base to the middle of the table. It doesn’t matter where it comes from.

Fresh flowers add the feeling of Spring to any table. I usually pick up a bouquet at the grocery store or discount store. I use smaller vases, pint jars are perfect or event glasses. Put together small arrangements. If fresh flowers aren’t in the cards- then look around your home for greens and small plants. If you are lucky to have spring blooms- cut them for your Easter table.

Next, add Easter décor with bunnies, chicks or eggs. I have used Easter grass, moss, or grapevine as a base. Use decor that is different sizes to add interest.

I like to add light using candles, either votives, or candles on stands do nicely. Even fairy lights in votives would be a nice touch. Each year I try something different. I hope this inspires you to bring Spring to your Easter table décor and enjoy your day! Happy Easter!
